Steeplechase of Charleston
Steeplechase of Charleston is hosted by The Post and Courier. The event brand for the 2020 year is meant to instill a wanderlust-styled postcard to cover the broader stories of race day tradition, horses, and the beauty of the Lowcountry. Compared to 2019, which is more focused on the National Steeplechase Association's Official Painter artwork in a vintage Guinness Ad style. I utilized the typographic and image copy so that each ad, print, digital or social, was in a visually pleasing race with the other graphic elements. Photos were taken by Jessica Yurinko, Matt Crum, and Katie Wilson.
An MFA project, the editorial publication that began as a collection of images that inspire me as a designer, how I came to be a designer, that are paired with letters my dad sent his parents when he was 19 at a naval academy. I wrote the copy telling the stories of how I found design and my hope for my life and career as well as the titles of my spreads.

Vintage Travel Posters
An MFA project, the editorial publication is a redesigned piece from the original travel poster book. The content is curated images of vintage travel posters from the 1890's through the 1960's. Each page of the redesign needed to contain the same content as the original, but in new style guidelines.

MFA Thesis: &
My MFA Thesis created a "pop-up" gathering space considering what it means to gather, why do we as humans gather, how does the space to do so impact a sense of community, what stories are told there, and what stories are told about the experience. How does design encourage and communicate this? My space included furniture I built with my family, print materials to describe the larger vision, and a super-cut of classic films. I created a publication of my thesis and photos of the space and design materials.

Bicycle Across South Carolina
The Bicycle Across South Carolina logo was created by an illustrator. The event existed for one year before I refreshed the guidelines and identity for the event. Inspired by the many aspects of the multi-day event and the beautiful landscape photographs, I created a collage-styled promotional campaign, which could evolve year over year. The 2021 promotion focuses on the central themes of the event and brand.

We the Women
Digital and print promotional materials for The Post and Courier's 19 day celebration of the 19th Amendment which features 19 South Carolina women discussing the significant impact of 100 years women's right to vote at the ballot, in the workplace, and in the community interviewed by female members of the newspaper's journalism team.

Lowcountry Parent is a magazine and website serving Lowcountry families with information, resources, local or virtual events, and more. I've created promotional materials for the magazine, website, as well as events and contests, such as the yearly Mom's Choice and registration for local families to be the models for that year's photo features.

Drayton Hall in Charleston, South Carolina is a house museum known for the Palladian Architecture and the hand-cast ceilings in the Great Hall and Drawing Room. Historically, the Drawing Room is where coffee and tea were served. The Director of Retail Sales contacted me with the request for a coffee label for white labels placed on kraft bag coffee bags. My idea of incorporating the historical reference to the ceiling began as graphic elements and became a stylized representation of the ceiling based on feedback. The coffee labels includes an illustration of the ceiling and the informational typographic copy. This allows for the greater story and brand of Drayton Hall and the guest's visit to be taken home with them.
